Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water

For the last few years, fans of premium bottled water that incorporates a great, natural taste with healthy, mineral-rich ingredients, while making sustainability an important part of their platform have had a dynamic new product to go to. And they couldn’t be happier.

Launched in 2012, Waiakea Water is an all-natural water coming from crystal clear waters of Mauna Loa, the snow-capped Hawaiian volcano 14,000 feet in elevation.

Snow and rainwater flow through volcanic lava, which provides the water with essential electrolyte-packed and mineral-rich nutrients, providing a natural alkaline to the water that is essential to the healthy balance.

Potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, and other essential minerals are captured by this water flow through the lava. Noob Prenuer says that Waiakea water is extremely low in its nitrate level (.59 mg/l), giving it a superior rating from the EPA, who mandates a maximum 10 mg/l for beverages. This has enabled Waiakea to be certified Carbon Neutral, one of the first premium bottled water and beverages in the world having achieved this premier status.

The Waiakea spring provides “young water”, as it is constantly flowing. Captured in this fashion, the young water doesn’t have time to absorb as many contaminants as other bottled water brands, who may use as their source free-standing water, or water flowing over more contaminant-laden land for their products.

An added benefit of having constantly flowing young water as its product, Waiakea water is able to bring the product to market quickly after capture and bottled, taking less than 30 days.

Waiakea water sustainability is emphasized in its packaging. The company uses 100 percent recyclable, recycled polyethelene terephthalate plastic in the bottling. Their facilities use 33 percent renewable energy. Their processes have a 90 percent less carbon footprint, with 95 percent less water usage. All in all, it takes Waiakea 85 percent less energy to manufacture the product.

Waiakea has made their charitable initiatives an integral part of their platform from the day it was founded. For every liter of water sold, the company donates 650 liters to Pump Aid, which provides clean, safe water and sanitation to those in great need in Africa. Through 2015, 1.35 million people have been assisted with over 500 million liters of water having been donated.

Focusing on health, sustainability, and charitable initiatives, Waiakea water is enjoying considerable growth. It all makes for a terrific product for consumers, able to assist Waiakea to grow and continue to help those in great need around the world.

How Securus technologies managed to earn the BBB accreditation

Most companies strive to be better as they look to enhance their product or service delivery. Securus Technologies are not any different. The best way to see if a company is getting where it purposes to is by looking at the accreditation it is getting. Securus Technologies seem to be on the right track judging by the kind of accreditation that they have recently received.

Securus technologies are a service providing company that has been in the forefront in trying to make the criminal and justice system modern in technological terms. It has gone a long way in implementing projects that have been a success in the department. In this line of service, it is essential that truth, dignity and honesty is upheld by such a company. Many such companies, therefore, try to get the BBB accreditation which tends to prove the trustworthiness of a company. With this type of accreditation, it is definite that anything that comes from the company in the form of public statements or print form is right. What even amazed most, including the company’s senior vice president, Danny de Hoyos, is that they managed to receive an A+, which is the best of the accreditation.

It is essential to understand that getting such accreditation is not easy as one needs to pay the board so that they can be monitors and assessed regularly. This, however, doesn’t mean that the quality of products or services of the company has been endorsed by the board. There have emerged complaints from various sources that some of the products being provided by Securus technologies including their customer care services are not up to standard. The BBB, however, cleared the technological company of these claims after a thorough review of the company, stating that they still meet the requirements needed for a company to be BBB accredited.

Waiakea Water Makes the Right Kind of Footprint on the Environment

During recent years, more and more people have become more environmentally conscious. Less people are using bottled water which creates more waste and pollution and more than likely don’t contain natural water.

More customers have been turning their backs on bottled water, and more are using reusable plastic or glass bottles. Buying plastic bottled water just doesn’t seem worth it anymore. Enter: Waiakea Water, the water company who may be the exception.

Their water comes from an untainted, organically alkaline source and is sold to consumers in ecologically conscious packaging. The company, as a whole is obviously also globally conscious and holds a philosophy true to that idea.

Waiakea was launched in 2012 by founder, Ryan Emmons. It is a Hawaiian volcanic water based company, created after Emmons decided the Hawaiian water he had been drinking was truly something special. During his Hawaii trips, he realized he had access to one of the most natural, healthy and sustainable sources of water in the world.

Waiakea’s water is obtained from one, untouched source, southwest of Hilo, a town on the Big Island of Hawaii. The water is filtered through thousands of feet of the volcano, Mauna Loa. It claims a distinctive mineral structure and pH: rich in electrolytes like magnesium, calcium, potassium and sodium.

It has a perfect amount of silica, which creates a soft feel to the water. Founder, Emmons, claims that studies have shown that drinking about 10 mg of silica through your water per day can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s by up to 11 percent. The Waiakea’s water contains 30 mg of silica.

According to BabyBoomster, Waiakea water also contains a pH that ranges between 7.8 and 8.8. This pH makes it naturally alkaline. Purified water has a pH of 7. There are artificially alkaline waters on the market, but as Emmons claims, these artificially alkaline waters trick the body into believing that it is gaining more alkaline minerals than are actually there. Studies show that these artificially alkaline waters can cause side effects and should be avoided.
